Why try hypnotherapy for slimming in 2023?

Our subconscious mind is filled with our own beliefs. Our beliefs, our morals, our habits, our nuances, even our basic ‘instructions’ like breathing, digestion etc. Basically, it is what makes us, us! And the majority of us tend to do the same things regularly as our mind thinks this is what keeps us safe.
When it comes to what we eat, we tend to stay with what we already know, as this is our habit. We tend to follow the same pattern with what we eat as we did last year and the year before that etc etc. We might tend to eat large meals and feel anxious when the plate isn’t as full as normal. We might tend to eat at ‘meal times’ even if we aren’t hungry. We might eat everything on our plate, even if we are full to bursting. Now we can try a normal ‘diet’ and have some success, but it has been proven that they are sooo hard to stay on.
In fact, evidence suggests that they usually last only 12 days!

Funny how this (very coincidentally, was written on 12th January).
But it is something I am hugely passionate about because I have first-hand experience of my loved ones going on a famous type of diet, only to put back the weight, and more besides, only a matter of months later. And it is the norm which is why these are multi-million-pound industries.
But why is that? There are a number of reasons. One is because they are based on willpower. Willpower to override these beliefs temporarily. Some will have more willpower than others. But this is the main reason diets can last as little as 12 days.
Another reason is that the diet is for a period of time. It is goal driven and once we reach that goal, we think we can go back to old habits because we have finished. We have beaten it and now we can relax. We never addressed the patterns and neural pathways to change that old beliefs-they are still there. So the willpower has gone and we can now long longer be bothered.
With both of these, we are not addressing the beliefs and habits we have in our subconscious mind. And
here is where hypnotherapy is transformational……
The amazing thing about hypnotherapy is that it can change those beliefs and those neural pathways to make new ones. Ones that you actually want to believe so that you can start to eat healthier, to become lighter to help your joints, to look and feel better about yourself and to help your internal organs, as who knows at this stage what is going on inside your body.
I have had the pleasure of seeing a number of clients who have used my Hypnotherapy for their issues around their eating habits and their relationship with food. In all cases, there has been a reduction in size and shape within the first couple of weeks and this has continued. But the interesting thing is that the person has not realised necessarily that they have made any changes to what they eat. But in discussion, it has come to light that HUGE changes have been made, and because the beliefs are different, it has not been a big thing to the client. It has been normal to make such a choice.
So this is why hypnotherapy works. There is no need to force anything. The changes come naturally and become part of the client’s subconscious beliefs. They no longer believe they need so much food, that they need to eat the most they possibly can, that they may run out of food.
